Buying a home can be a thrilling and nerve-wracking experience. But the good news is that you don’t have to go it alone. I’m here to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. I will break down the process and help you find your next home. For me, that starts with the home buyer consultation.
So, what can you expect from a Terri Buseman home buyer consultation? Read on to find out.
Pre-Consultation Preparation
When it comes to buying a home, preparation is key. This will help you determine what you are looking for in a home. It will allow you to provide answers to the important questions I’ll be asking during our consultation.
To get started, I advise my clients to find their “big why” – the primary reason for their move. Maybe you’re looking to be closer to top-rated schools, trendy dining options, or exciting entertainment venues. Perhaps you need a bigger or smaller space. Or maybe you’re hoping to find a residence closer to work. Whatever your reason, understanding your “big why” will help us find a home that meets your unique needs.
It’s important to set a budget and decide on the features you’re looking for in a home. If you haven’t already found a lender, I recommend doing so. Being pre-approved for a loan will help you determine a budget, and a letter of approval is expected when making an offer.
Initial Consultation
During the initial consultation, we’ll talk about what matters most to you. Here are a few things I’ll be asking about:
- Your neighborhood and location preferences
- Your budget (we also review financing options)
- Your preferred features you are looking for in your home
- Your timeline for purchasing a property
I want to thoroughly understand your needs so I can help you find the perfect fit for you at this time of your life. My priority is to make sure that you find the perfect home, with the least amount of stress and within budget. As we start looking at properties, I will concentrate on your feedback and incorporate it in further search criteria. Often times, needs or wants change as the buyer begins to search. No problem, we redirect.
I know your time is valuable and I want to make the most of it.
Communication and Transparency
I believe that transparency and communication are the main tenants of a healthy client-agent relationship. Here are a few ways I make that happen:
Answering Questions Quickly and Completely: I know the real estate process can be confusing and overwhelming. I respond to your questions and concerns promptly and thoroughly. I want to make sure you fully understand the information I’m providing before we move forward.
Proactively Share Information: There are many aspects of the real estate process that clients may not be aware of. I share information proactively to make sure clients are prepared for what’s ahead and to keep processes running smoothly.
Admit Mistakes: I’m not perfect, but I promise to be honest and accountable. If I make a mistake, I’ll own up to it and do everything I can to make it right. If I don’t have the answer to a question, I will research and get that for you.
Delivering on my Promises: When I make a commitment to you, I keep it. You can count on me to follow through on my promises and deliver the services and support you need.
I’m committed to making your home-buying journey as smooth and stress-free as possible. That starts with clear, open communication from day one.
